Villa Bayuh Sabbha
Beachfront joglo villa for large receptions
Photos: Villa Bayuh Sabbha
Villa Bayuh Sabbha means “house of breezes,” and the name earns its keep. The living pavilions are open on every side, built from teakwood and limestone in genuine Balinese joinery, so the sea air moves through the whole villa instead of stopping at a glass door. It sits on the Uluwatu clifftop with its own stretch of beach below, reached by a stairway most guests only discover on the second day.
The wedding spot is a curved balé at the very edge of the garden, thatch-roofed and open to the horizon, with the Indian Ocean filling the view and the coastline curving away on both sides. It works for an intimate vow exchange, and the lawn behind it takes a full reception for up to 150 seated guests, with the pool terrace and wantilan pavilion absorbing the overflow for cocktails and dancing.
Because Tirtha Uluwatu’s glass chapel sits close by, many of our couples split the day between the two: vows at Tirtha, dinner at Bayuh Sabbha, or the reverse. Either way the transfer is short and the two venues are used to handing guests between them, so nothing about the day feels like two separate events stitched together.

Ceremony & reception spaces
Why we love it
A real joglo, not a gesture at one
The living pavilions are built from teakwood and limestone in traditional Balinese joinery, not a resort's shorthand version of it. The result feels lived-in and unhurried, the kind of space that photographs well without trying.
Clifftop with your own beach below
The garden ends at a balé perched on the cliff edge, and steps lead down to a stretch of beach that belongs to the villa. Sunset from the balé, with the coastline curving away on both sides, needs no styling at all.
Pairs naturally with Tirtha
Villa Bayuh Sabbha sits close enough to Tirtha Uluwatu that couples often marry at Tirtha's glass chapel and move the party here for dinner, or do the reverse and hold vows on the clifftop balé before crossing to Tirtha for the reception. Either way, guests make one short transfer, not several.

Common questions
How many guests can Villa Bayuh Sabbha host for a wedding?+
The garden lawn and pool terrace hold up to 150 guests seated or 175 standing for a reception. The clifftop balé itself is a more intimate ceremony point, suited to a small vow exchange with the ocean behind you rather than the full guest list.
Can we marry at Tirtha Uluwatu and have the reception here?+
Yes, and it is a common pairing. Couples marry in Tirtha's glass chapel a short drive away and move to Villa Bayuh Sabbha for a private dinner reception, or hold the ceremony on the clifftop balé here and use Tirtha's halls for a larger party. We coordinate the transfer and timing either way.
What is the minimum stay?+
Minimum stay runs from 2 nights in low season up to 7 nights at peak, on top of the separate event and banjar (community) fees charged for hosting a wedding. We confirm current terms with the villa once you have a date in mind.
What happens if the weather turns?+
The clifftop balé and garden lawn are open-air, so a wet-season ceremony moves under the wantilan pavilion or the covered joglo living pavilion, both a short walk away. Nothing about the day needs to pause for rain.
